I began my career in Anchorage in 1988 after graduating with my MSW in California, where I grew up. I started with an Employee Assistance Program, and then worked at a psychiatric hospital before going into private practice full time in 1999. I am experienced in working with adults, children, adolescents, families, and couples for a variety of issues. Although I am adept at various forms of therapy, I primarily practice Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and weave other modalities into this. The law requires I report to the proper authorities any person who is a danger to self or others, or gravely disabled. I must also report all instances of suspected physical and sexual abuse, and neglect of children, the elderly, and the disabled. You are responsible for your deductible and copay. The deductible for counseling is normally part of your medical deductible.
